Curiosity means 

If I were to go on a adventure to the amazon jungle 

I would be on a boat and then the boat explodes 

I would bring a survival expert so they could help me survive 

I woke up very excited. I was going on a boat today. I was going to the amazon jungle. I was on the boat but then we hit a rock the boat exploded no one made it out except Me and a survival expert the first thing to do is to find food and build a shelter we found some pigs the survival expert new that we were ok to eat them and then we collected materials from the plane.We lived there for I think about 9 months. Then we had enough food and enough materials to make a raft to go back. The end by Malachi

The cat is looking into the galaxy wondering if he could one day go into space one day the first cat on the moon but then...He snaps back into reality"Who's a good kitty who's a good kitty'' This puny human thinking he owns me i'm a wild cat! i'm from the wild and then this puny human found me I wanted to be a tiger''meows'' pretending to be a tiger.''But then realising he would be very cold and hungry and he would have no shelter.

 Today we made a chocolate covered marshmallow with mini m&m's we are learning about the earth I am going to tell you the layers. The chocolate is the crust. The marshmallow is the mantel.The m&m is the inner and outer core.It is different from the earth because you can eat it and it is soft

Why matariki should be a public holiday

Matariki should be a public holiday because there is not a maori holiday.

Matariki is in winter and there is not a public holiday in winter so its good to be inside in the warmth eating with your family and watch TV and go out for dinner. The way I would like to celebrate is with my family watching TV eating brunch. 

Matariki is the 7 sisters. The 7 sisters are the 7 stars but there are 9 stars but they are hard to see. They were named the 7 sisters because no one could see the other 2 stars. Also the celebration is to acknowledge the people who have passed.

Inquiry:V-hut

For inquiry we did a V-hut model with my friends Layton and Shayde we made a replica out of cardboard and wooden cardboard                                                                                     

I learnt 

V-huts were only found in Canterbury. They were temporary homes for the new

settlers in the 1850s.

They had a roof made of flax with doors and windows at one end. 

They did not have not have chimneys. They did their cooking outside.

They are called V-huts because they are shaped like an upside-down V.

The Early settlers brought from England furniture, including a table, chairs,

shelves, clock and drawers.

Bridle Path walk

 On 6th of July my class went on walk on the Bridle Path we went because we were learning about the 1850's.In the 1850's the Europeans walk over a big hill and then they made it the Bridle Path .We walked on the Bridle Path for the first time.I felt very tired when I got to the top.The hardest part was the steep part on they way up.On the down it was very steep on some parts I almost fell over even on a part I even did fall over. it hurt but I kept going down and 

Term 2 Reflection

 Today is the last day of the term 2. My favorite part of the term is playing at break.The biggest challenge was winter sports because we had warm up and run around.I learnt my division.And i'm proud of making new friends. 

My experience using MakeyMakey

 How have you been using MakeyMakey? Me and my team have made controller to play pac man 

my controller was shaped like a star 

How did you use the MakeyMakey to test if items were conductive? we tested materials to find conducted materials   

What you found out? water is conductive.

Monday mash up

 Today I did Monday mash up. We did this game called spaghetti its where you stand in a circle and the leader says an emotion and you have to run in the middle of the circle and say spaghetti in that emotion. and we had write a story of these 3 words bungee jumping, kitchen and foot. 

How to make bread

•  Bread:
• 450g (3 cups) self-raising flour
• Pinch of salt
• 80g butter chilled cubed 
• 185ml (3/4 cup) water

Step 1 

Preheat oven to 200 C line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs 

Step 2

Add the water to the flour mixture and use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to mix until the mixture just comes together adding 1-2 tablespoons extra water if the mixture is a little dry. Use your hands hands to bring the mixture together 

Step 3

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 1-2 minutes or until smooth.Shape into an 18cm disc and place on tray.Use a sharp knife that has been dipped in flour to mark 8 wedges on top. Dust the damper with a little extra flour to and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the damper is cooked through and sounds hollow when tapped on the base. Transfer to a wire rack for 5 minutes to cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Ferry mead 2021

 2 Weeks ago I went to Ferry mead. First we had where clothes that people wore in the old in days. They were like school clothes it was around 1860. I forgot what I did for the first activity but for the next activity I did immigration my name was George I was 18. And I was a lawyer next it was the v shaped hut this had a lot of activity's. You could polish the plates and the bowls and scrub the deck you could make a fire place not with real fire. Chop wood wash clothes and iron clothes and then we were done we could roam around the place. I learned that you couldn't have your hands in your pockets back in the old days. And shoes were 800$. The first firetruck in NZ was in 1850

School Lunches

We did a school lunch goggle form to see what people like each lunch and then we created a slideshow of the lunch result and we learnt that most people like ham cheese pizza and not much people liked chicken aioli and carrot sandwich's.

The best thing is going to flip out and QE2. And the worst thing would be stubing my toe I stubed because I tryed to change the game in my ps4 but I hit my toe on my metal bed And the thing. I would change is not to stub my toe.

NZ history

P.E

 Today we did P.E and we did ball rush. And it was surprising that I was'int in.In round 1 we started I made it to the end.Round 2 Now I had to make it back but I banged in to someone and I tripped and fell on my knees and there not that much blood.  

Swimming

 I do swimming I the sharks its really fun i'm with one of my friends its really we do races some of us are going to zones. And I learnt how to dive know at swimming. I all ways want to dive of the diving board tomorrow. I do swimming sports tomorrow I really hope I win i'm a year 5 i'm versing year 5's.
